Ring of the Quake
The Ring of the Quake contains the essence of and a link to the elemental Earth. As the world was created, a little of its key elements were left over and forged into the elemental rings. The Earth was forged into the Ring of the Quake.
The history of this ring is not known before the sequestration of the Rings, but it was likely in the hands of the Human leaders of The Spice Islands at the time they were hidden away at the four corners of the world. It was placed in a purpose-built arcane temple in the Holy Mesa of Maugakooey. This ended up in the Forgotten Land, and became the mausaleum of Kui.
The Ring of the Quake was later found by an exploratory party of Obliviati. They slowly made their way through the challenges of the Mesa, eventually emerging with the Ring, at great cost in casualties. However, the influence of the Forgotten Land made them forget they had a rest of the world to go back to. The Thanes of Order later found, fought and defeated them, taking the Ring for themselves.Mechanics & Inner Workings
