The Artist
Once in a blue moon, chosen Omni have the opportunity to rise beyond the bounds of fate's cycle and leave the natural system of reincarnation, enlightenment and dissolution. The first one known to men was Aeva, the Creator of the celestial realm of the same name.
The second one has already been born but not risen yet, guised in the brush of the Wilderness's forests.
The third one, only known by legend and who has once been a member of the council of Aeva before falling back to Aradeia, was the Artist.
Having been a painter of portraits and landscapes alike, he was a renowned creator of artworks in Lorla and beyond, before his magic found its way into his creations.
Infusing his brush with the magic of his deepest core, his paintings started to become life-like, resembling places that have already been or never existed. He was able to form portals and second dimensions to his own and learned how to traverse them. It wasn't long until he used them to his advantage - making deals, smuggling items, travelling without a trace.
One day, as he was dealing with his newest client, he was found out to have cooperated with both sides of one political deal. Trying to flee to the side that accommodated to his needs better by proving their loyalty to him, he tried to cross the borders once more. To his horror, the guards of the betrayed were already waiting for him to arrive and as they held the flame towards the canvas of his making, he was trapped between the worlds, his body torn in half as he was taken to the afterlife.
He stayed in Aeva for ages to come, before he dared to cross another line. Stating that he could create a world better than both Aeva and Aradeia combined, he was banished into his mansion, forced to remain inside of his own portrait, wandering through a world that he himself once created. His portrait covered by thick linen, he remains in his manor, disconnected from the world.
Many have travelled to his mansion, hoping for treasures and tales. Only few have made their way back and it is feared that someday he may return, thirsting for revenge.

Love the "trapped in a mirror universe of his own making" angle. The hubris! Was he evil (or evil-inclined) before his exile, or was it that event that caused him to turn bad? Looking forward to any updates on this fellow.
