Overview

Khemed is a reluctant god, he has only taken power because there was a choice between him gaining a relic of great power or binding the relic to himself cursing himself at the same time, to save a race of people who's life force was also bound to the relic.

History

Khemed was born in Calimport and had a twin sister. Their lives took a dramatic turn when both were kidnapped by fae. His sister suffered a tragic fate in the City of Judgment, punished for breaking the godpeace and eventually killed. In his quest to find her, Khemed too was captured and faced punishment. However, this adversity put him on the trajectory towards something much greater. He was given the mission to investigate a demon lord who was consolidating power. Upon uncovering the demon lord's plans, Khemed and a group were tasked with seeking out ancient artifacts capable of defeating the demon lord. But during their first expedition, Khemed discovered that delivering these artifacts to the gods would result in the destruction of an entire civilization. Faced with this moral dilemma, he chose a different path. Rejecting the gods' demand, he absorbed the artifact's power into himself, using his own life energy as a shield to protect the people from annihilation.
This act caused his eventual rise to becomming a diety.
