Lynxfolk (Shalqualmi)

Overview

Native to northern Calimshan, Shalqualmi, also called lynxfolk, are solitary tricksters. With very few exceptions, each Shalqualmi lives alone, typically in cave homes or arboreal bowers, coming together only to mate and forcing out their children as soon as they are old enough to survive on their own. They are hardy survivors who can weather both extremes of temperature and hostile opposition. Despite their isolation, Shalqualmi love company and rely on humans, bearfolk, and deerfolk for news. Lynxfolk often speak in riddles, if only to gauge listeners’ reactions.   Loa’s Name - Moki, said to be located north of Claw Hollow. (Hunter)
