Overview
Possumfolk are often seen in major humanoid cities in Chondath, preferring to live near to humans and elves. However, they do intermingle with gnomes, halflings, and wood elves, as well as the fey. Possumfolk tend to live in dangerous environments. Their young are easy prey for predators and their adults have shorter lifespans akin to goblins and kobolds. At an early age, possumfolk learn that death is a constant threat. As a defense, young possumfolk learn to take on the appearance of death to ward off predators, projecting the sights and even smells of a corpse as a way to defend themselves.

Darkvision 60 Feet (2 RP): Prerequisites: None; Benefit: Members of this race can see in the dark up to 60 feet.
Light Sensitivity (–1 RP): Prerequisite: Darkvision; Weakness: Members of this race are dazzled as long as they remain in an area of bright light.
