Turtlefolk (Kappa)

Overview

What might we say about kappa to enlighten the world concerning our nature? We are a people of laughter and good cheer. True, our humor is not always understood by others, we find the sound of breaking bones to be hilarious, but we amuse ourselves first and others second. We love loud jokes, large meals and a good wrestling match. There are very few kappa villages. We prefer to live in isolated areas next to a body of water. Despite this, we know every other kappa for miles around, and we consider any kappa, no matter how distant, to be a neighbor. We have a saying concerning the waterways by which we dwell: “All water flows to the sea,” which we use to mean that we are all connected.   Loa's Name - Xiao Bojing, location unknown.
