Haroun al-Rashid, the Crow of Al'Rihar
In the city of Al'Rihar, renowned for being a trading crossroads full of bustling caravans and rich merchants, lived Haroun al-Rashid, a swordmaster and leader of the sultanate's third regiment. A face weathered by desert winds and black hair, beard, and eyes, his assortment of trickery earned him his moniker, feared and respected by friend and foe alike.
One fateful day, the Khans of Ka'shar, a neighboring kingdom known for its ruthless tactics, launched a surprise attack on Al'Rihar, hoping to plunder its riches and enslave its people. The Crow's regiment was stationed at the city gate, and they were the first line of defense.
The Khans' forces were vast and relentless, but the Haroun al-Rashid was not one to back down from a challenge. He knew that he couldn't defeat the Khan's in a straight fight, so he devised a clever plan. He led his regiment of desperate men into the desert, where they hid in the sand dunes for a whole day, waiting for the perfect opportunity to strike.
When the Khan's raiders passed by, the Crow and his men attacked from all sides, catching the enemy off guard. The Khan's forces were quickly routed, and they retreated in disarray. This victory was a stunning and surprising victory, and it was celebrated throughout the sultanate. The sultan himself bestowed upon him the title of "Crow of Al'Rihar."
The Crow of Al'Rihar continues to serve the sultanate faithfully to this day, leading his regiment to victory after victory.
All members of his regiment have made it a point to fasten a little crow of blackened iron to their armor and wear it with pride. Over the years he became known as one of the greatest military strategists in the sultanate's history, and his legend continues to grow to this day.
