Warglen

Warglen is a small, fortified town located on the border between Modren and the Empire. Its walls are thick and its gates sturdy, the remnants of the many battles that have taken place here over the years. Despite its status as a border town, Warglen is relatively quiet these days. The war may be over, but the scars it left behind are still visible.
Despite the hardship, the people of Warglen remain resilient. They have rebuilt their homes and businesses time and time again, refusing to abandon their land to the enemy. The town is now surrounded by a series of makeshift fortifications, hastily erected during the last siege. The people of Warglen have also taken to arming themselves, forming a small but effective militia to defend their homes.
Unlike many of Modren's other settlements, Warglen has no noble house ruling over it. Instead, the elderly mayor Harte and his daughter Leslie have taken charge. Mayor Harte was elected by the locals to lead the town, and has done so for many years. However, his age is beginning to take its toll, and he has started to delegate more responsibilities to his daughter.
The people of Warglen are a hardy and resilient bunch, having weathered countless battles and sieges over the years. They are proud of their town and their independence, and are fiercely loyal to their leaders. However, the lack of support from the Duke has left many feeling frustrated and resentful, and some are starting to question whether their loyalty is misplaced. Despite this, the people of Warglen remain determined to keep their town safe and secure, no matter the cost.
