Bigland

A wondrous land composed of a large landmass with some land formations not found on other continents. The Gnomes are extremely laid back and docile. Perhaps Too much so. This continuous problem aside, their advancements in magic are second to none. Moreover, they have spent the most time looking into Araria trying to discover its secrets like what's possibly below the Sky Sea--if anything. Bigland's government is scarily loose. While they do patrol their territory, events deemed as small or sporadic. This has led to pirates and like-minded criminals gravitating to Bigland due to their willingness to let outsiders in and lack of filtering of what outside ships might be bringing in. The center of Bigland is mostly mountainous which is where most of its inhabitants live. The mountains decent into the forest which are rumored to have a large amount of magic flowing through them. The rest of Bigland is desert, besides the Crystal Forest, which is a formation of land composed of large crystals that mysteriously sit in the middle of the deserts. Other Oddities of Bigland are the Tree Plane, which is a set of abnormally large trees that tower above the forests below. At the tree top is a large tree like Plato. Finally, there is the Dead Colossus that lies dead in the mountain ranges. This colossus is the size of a small mountain. Bigland does have a military, but many lack actual combat experience. The towns of Bigland are protected by soldiers who are not currently deployed by their military. Each town's structure is loosely the same, but can vary based on whoever is in charge of the local garrisons of the town you are in. Bigland's biggest exports are mundane magical items. While Bigland has developed more powerful items, they tend to not export them because the gnomes will almost always try to break them down and do it again but better. They have developed small batches of magical items for use, but these items are heavily regulated. Their constant tampering with magic has also made way for the Arcane Cannon, which is a powerful item that uses a mages magic pool. However, instead of exploding these cannons are known to have unpredictable side effects when damaged (but sometimes they do explode). In addition to the Cannon, they developed the Elemental Engine, which is a more powerful engine that can propel a ship to unparalleled speed. These items are extremely expensive and regulated. That hasn't stopped looters or victors from skirmishes from claiming their spoils.
