Catfolk

The wandering demihumans who have found shelter with the orcs

Ability Score: Catfolk are sociable and agile, but often lack common sense. They gain +2 Dexterity, +2 Charisma, and –2 Wisdom.   Type: Catfolk are Small sized Humanoids with the Catfolk subtype.   Speed: Catfolk have a base speed of 30 feet.   Senses: Catfolk have Low-Light Vision, therefore can see twice as far as humans in conditions of dim light.   Cat’s Claws: Catfolk have stronger and more developed claws than other races and can use them to make attacks. Catfolk have a pair of claws they can use as natural weapons. These claws are primary attacks that deal 1d4 points of damage.   Clever Cat: Catfolk’s generally friendly disposition doesn’t preclude craftiness. Some of them see social obstacles as games to be played and won. These catfolk receive a +2 racial bonus on Bluff, Diplomacy, and Sense Motive checks.   Curious: Catfolk are naturally inquisitive about the world around them. They gain a +4 bonus on Diplomacy checks to gather information, and Knowledge (History) and Knowledge (Local) become class skills for them. If they choose a class that has either of those knowledge skills as class skills, they gain a +2 racial bonus on those skills instead.   Cat’s Grace: Catfolk are incredibly acrobatic, nimble, and used to getting out of tight situations. They gain a +2 racial bonus on Acrobatics and Climb, and they always land on their feet.   Cat’s Luck: Catfolk have incredible luck and natural curiosity, and they have become adept at escaping otherwise inescapable situations. One per day, they may choose to reroll any d20 roll and take the better result.

Basic Information

Anatomy

Catfolk possess mostly normal anatomy when compared to humans and other similar humanoids, but with the addition of feline ears, a tail, and various other feline traits such as fur, paws, and the like. Generally, males have more of a feline-resemblance in their anatomy while females are more humanoids in appearance.

Genetics and Reproduction

Catfolk go into heat every 4 months, while their females carry children for anywhere between 3-5 and give birth to around 2-6 kids at a time.

Growth Rate & Stages

Catfolk, once born, are fully grown by age 16, hit middle age by age 30, reach old age around age 50, and become venerable and die shortly thereafter once hitting age 60.

Ecology and Habitats

Catfolk can be found in any environment, and can adapt to almost anywhere, but are found mostly in the Orcish Plains.

Dietary Needs and Habits

Catfolk are omnivores and can eat anything but favor fish and lighter meats.

Biological Cycle

Catfolk show the same signs of age as humans do, their fur greying and their eyes growing pale, bodies growing infirm, and their minds decaying.

Catfolk are rare outside of their homelands, but are not endangered otherwise. They are hardly ever seen alone and normally seen with their caravans.

Female catfolk have a more humanoid form, with a mostly humanoid body aside from feline ears and tail as well as paw-like hands.   Male catfolk have a more feline form, with a furry body, paw-like hands, feline ears, and a tail.   Both male and females lack significant muscle mass, and are more dextrous than they are strong.
Body Tint, Colouring and Marking
Catfolk hair and fur ranges in color from whitish and orange colors all the way to black. Catfolk skin is typically light to dark tan.
