An ancient Green Hag, Singing Bess has lived in the forest and been a threat to the local communities for generations, but has always been too powerful to challenge directly. Instead, the local towns just had to contend with the fact that after dark, the world wasn't safe, for her minions may be abroad.
Mostly used in recent times as a story to scare young children into behaving, as her spider-legged hut hasn't been seen for decades.
