Temple of Urian

This small temple ruin comes from before the fall, and that rumours and tales say that it was a ruin even before this.

Purpose / Function

A temple to an unknown deity. Those few scholars left in the world have long postulated that the name Urian might well be the name of this forgotten god, or perhaps a name of a blessed saint or even and ancient name of the area.

Architecture

The round temple is made of a solid grey stone, thousands of years ago it would have been ornate and impressive but time, the encroaching forests and the casual vandalism of goblins have left the detailing and decoration worn to nothing.
There are large doorframes at the cardinal directions, a few broken blue roof tiles scatter the insides and the centre is a raised dias.
The altar has been thrown down and lies broken, revealing a staircase leading down to the catacombs beneath.
