Advanced Rescue Squad
Although The Mender's Guild is officially a guild both in title and outward appearance, it functions as a military for the Euhukoa Empire. It is comprised by individuals who are all highly trained to deal with threats to the safety of the empire. That being said, there are units within the guild that are elite and/or highly specialised for certain situations. These units often start out as typical assigned teams of guild members that end up working so extraordinarily well together that they are made into a permanent squad that trains for and are sent out on more advanced missions. Once members retire or pass away they will sometimes bring in other guild members with a similar skill set and training.
One such unit is called the Advanced Rescue Squad. They are sent into situations where a large number of civilians are endangered by what is happening, for example natural disasters, enemies pouring in from portals in populated areas, strange magic surges, and more. Other teams help out in these circumstances as well but the Advanced Rescue Squad go to the most dangerous or difficult to reach areas. For instance, in the case of a building collapse they will get into the wreckage to search for survivors and extract them.
Currently the Advanced Rescue Squad has twelve members of varying skill sets, though they're all capable of at least basic medical care and are strong either physically or magically. One member is on overwatch and informs the others of any changes happening in the field to make it easier for them to adapt. The others are split into two or three teams depending on the situation that do search and rescue and organise quick evacuation of civilians. If it is an invasion of hostiles they often have to fight to get to the people in need if other units haven't reached the battle yet.
