Fey Apple Tree

The fey apple tree, also known as Feywild apple tree or heart of the wilds, is a rare tree that grows naturally in the Feywild. Its fruits resemble red apples on the outside, hence the name, but the inside has a far juicier flesh with a light purple tint and there is only one pit in the centre instead of several seeds. The taste is floral and sweet, like violets with a hint of honey.   Many legends have been told about the fey apple since its discovery by mortals travelling in the Feywild. After they ate the fruits for several days during their time there, they could swear that they felt healthier and and more invigorated than they ever had before. This is also the origin of the saying "an apple a day keeps the doctor away" as they didn't get any kind of illness for several years after eating the fruits of the fey apple tree for about a week. Many scientists say that it was just coincidence and that the group wasn't nearly a big enough sample size to prove anything.   However, other people really wanted to find fey apples and bring them back to the Prime Material plane in hopes to plant the pits and have such trees grow at home. So far only one group of people have been successful in such a quest and they did manage to get a few fey apple trees to grow on the southernmost continent of Arbressian named Driadand. It is not a complete success as the trees very rarely bear fruit and hardly ever enough for even one person to eat one per day for a week or so. When they do grow, the apples are highly coveted for their supposed effects and rich people from all over Arbressian would pay thousands of gold pieces for seven apples.   The people who own the trees are very secretive about how they managed to make them grow on the Prime Material and are constantly trying new things to try to make them bear fruit every year. Considering the rarity and price of the fey apples on the Prime Material, for those with the capabilities it would be far easier to go to the Feywild to find fey apple trees with fruits even though they are also quite uncommon even there.
