The Core of Arbressian
The Core stands at the centre of Arbressian's material plane on the continent known as Imela. It is a mountain of a type of unknown stone that cannot be damaged by any physical or magical means unlike any other kind of stone in the world. The circumference at ground level is about 47 miles. The Core's height is unknown and it is believed that it sometimes expands or shrinks on seemingly random occasions and pierces into the Astral plane. It also continues down underground and all the way through the border to the Shadowfell and up through, standing just as tall of a mountain in the Shadowfell.
The surface of The Core of Arbressian is smooth in some places and jagged in others, much like any other mountain. Its colour is an opaque black that makes it difficult to notice variations in shape, but sometimes different coloured lights seem to dance inside of it as if it has a bit of transparency. The Core doesn't seem to reflect light from outside sources but at times it shimmers with a multicoloured glitter effect. No one knows what causes these changes in appearance since it's impossible for anyone to create a tunnel to go inside and investigate but there are many legends about The Core's origins and what its future might be.
Eight waterfalls run down the mountain at various points. Seven of them lead out to rivers while one ends in a small lake of great depth before leading out to an underground river.
Twelve cities surround The Core a few miles away from the base of it, four of them at precise cardinal directions and the other eight set at regular intervals like the numbers on a clock. Each city has its own name but together they are considered the capital of Centruum and known as the collective name Coale. The few miles distance from the cities to The Core and surrounding area is considered international lands and can't be claimed by any nation, as established after many conflicts over who would hold power over the material of creation.
