The Humduff Tribe
They are a tribe of firbolgs who have lived in the Humduff Forest in Ashoedan since year one of the Age of Parting. Unlike other firbolg tribes they aren't fully cut off from the surrounding society and races, instead accepting to trade with them under the condition that the forest is left untouched by others.
The Humduff tribe are the source of the best herbs that Ashoedan has become known for. They could have become rich if they so wished but they put no real value in the money used by society at large, only accepting small amounts of it now and then in case one of their own would have to go out in the world and needed the accepted form of currency. Instead they like to trade their herbs for things such as unusual clothes, toys for the children of the tribe, vegetables and fruits that didn't grow in Humduff Forest and other trinkets.
Culture
Major language groups and dialects
Within the tribe they mostly speak a blend of Giant and Elvish or switch between the two frequently but they make sure that everyone can also speak the common language Aporean just in case.
Art & Architecture
The homestead of the Humduff tribe is a village of tree houses built in old and giant trees. Hang bridges connect them to each other and they've got rope ladders leading down to the ground. Some of the houses are built lower down for families with kids so they've got easier access to the ground. Everything is very simple and built to last rather than for aesthetic value. However, they do help plants grow into the tree houses to make natural decorations.
Funerary and Memorial customs
When a member of the tribe dies the others strip them of any clothes they may have been wearing at the time of death. Then they are carried to the centre of the forest where they are left to be reunited with nature with all of the natural processes that includes.
