Wagons of Travelling Performance Troupes
Across Arbressian there are a great number of travelling performance troupes. Most travel in caravans of decorated wagons and carts (the most notable exception to this are The Silver Strands, musicians who travel in their own personal airship).
Depending on what type of performance troupe it is and how many people are in it, the wagons are decorated in a large variety of ways. Each troupe put their own personal flair on them as well.
Actors typically adorn their carts in dramatically draped fabrics in lush colours and props such as masks, stage weapons and set pieces. To protect it all from the elements they keep large tarps to fasten over the wagons at the sign of rain or other weather that could damage the decoration - this is standard for all people with adorned wagons. If the troupe of actors have a particularly popular star among them, that person will often get a personal wagon decorated with things they are known for.
Circus and carnival caravans often have wagons with bright colours that clash with each other and have scenes of their various acts painted on the sides, a lot of them exaggerated to seem as spectacular as possible. Then among these brightly painted wagons there is sometimes one wagon that is painted in darker colours with a theme of constellations or eyes that seem to look right through you. This is the wagon of the fortune teller, always a popular addition to a more carnival type of travelling troupe.
Musicians have wagons that boast their troupe names in large letters, styled in a way that depends on what type of music they play. More elegant musicians will have flowery pretty fonts, while groups that play bawdy songs will have letters that are a bit whimsical. This goes for the rest of the decorations as well which can include paintings of musical instruments or even actual instruments, though not as well made as the ones they actually play. Just like with actors, if one of the musicians is a bigger name they will get their own wagon dedicated to them.
These are just a few examples of what the wagons of travelling performance troupes can look like as there is a great variation of styles and quality depending on where they are in the world and how popular they are.
