Bilesians

In 54, a group of Bilesians came in from Bilese seeking refuge, and they settled. They have always been an extremely peaceful group. They had children with humans in Arburg, which has produced a sort of species in itself, a perfect mix between humans and Bilesians.
They are the same general height as humans. They have a different skin, which is translucent, and their circulatory system can be seen. They have pointy, elf-like ears that can pick up sounds from 50Hz to 50kHz. Their feet are longer, stronger and more flexible. The same thing goes for their fingers and hands. They have thick, black hair which is even kept long by males. Their race is quite attractive overall. Also: finding a fat Bilesian is something that will never happen. They have a very nutritious diet and go everywhere on foot. Human-bilesian offspring still keeps some of those quallities, like being athletic and having thick hair, though it may change colour, depending on how directly they have a Bilesian relative.

History

Some discontent Bilesians came to Arburg in 54, looking for a new life. They settled to make what is now Rascad , which is by the Stetset River and the Wandering Woods. Since then, they have had children with Arburgians (humans), which means that pure-blooded Bilesians don't exist in Arburg anymore, unless they are visiting from Bilese. They were accepted into Arburg easily enough, as they were seeking refuge from the crazy war that was raging at that time in Bilese.

Their names are traditionally extremely different to ours, but the Bilesian-human children that exist in Arburg now have names like a normal Arburgian.

Culture

Culture and cultural heritage

They are en extremely open race, and what sets them apart from Arburgians is the way in which they see change. Not only do they not shy away from it, they openly welcome it and encourage it. They see change as the way forward. One of the ways this has shown is how they haven't ever been ashamed to have children with Arburgians. From Arburg's side, however, not everyone is happy with it. Many people living outside of Rascad see it as a terrible act of treason, and this can result in part-Bilesians not quite being socially accepted into mainstream Arburgian society.

Shared customary codes and values

One of their most imporant values is honouring a host. If they are invited or accepted by someone, they honour that host and give them their complete loyalty. A Bilesian would never stab you in the back if you were to invite them into your house. Wars have started in Bilese because of rude guests with back-stabbing qualities. This would be the worst insult you can give them. This value is also the reason why they have always been extremely peaceful in Arburg.

Beauty Ideals

Females and males keep their luscious black hair as long as possible traditionally, and the longer your hair, the more respect you gain. Even with age, their hair doesn't lose its pigmentation. Human-bilesian offspring has been seen to lose their hair's pigmentation later in life than the average human would.
