Befoul

" OH! What did... ?! What... IS that? The taste! So... FOUL! I cooked this?
— review of a piece of garlic chicken

A Befoul spell causes the affected Subject or Object to emanate a pungent, disgusting odor. The stench is enough to nauseate those who are in the spell's radius.

Effect

A Befoul spell requires 1 Action to cast and lasts for 1 round per the Caster's Psyche Modifier. Befoul can be cast on a creature or object. When casting this spell, the Caster determines whether it acts as a positive or negative condition.

As a Positive condition, the recepient of the Befoul spell (and the Caster or anyone the Caster designates) is immune to the nauseating effects of the Befoul spell. Spell immunity is an indirect effect of the spell, chosen by the Caster.

As a Negative condition, this spell torments the recepient, causing them to emit an odor. Each turn of the spell's duration, the Subject must roll a Vitality check (DC:10+ the Caster's Psyche Modifier). Failure indicates they have succumbed to the odor and are now nauseated. Nauseated creatures can only take 1 Action per Round and can't make Reactions. As above, the Caster can indicate immunities to anyone they desire as a part of spell-casting.

The smell emits in a 5 ft. radius around the Subject or Object. Those who pass through it's area of effect must also roll a Vitality save or be nauseated for 1 round and 1 round each turn they remain. Even moving out of the area of effect requires an additional Vitality save at the beginning of their next turn.

Side/Secondary Effects

This spell can be used to transfer a volatile scent onto an Object. However, when this spell is used on a food or drink item, it immediately befouls it. The food becomes inedible as it rots and decays over the spell's duration.

The Caster can choose to have the food return to it's normal state by the end of the spell effect or remain permanently affected by the decay.

Manifestation

" The Caster pinches their nose and blows violently through their mouth. With a dismissive wave of their hand, reaches out to touch the Subject of the spell- a once delicious piece of garlic chicken."
