Finger Paint
"This is a nice vest but it would look better in purple..."
The Finger Paint spell allows a Caster to change the color of a Subject or Object. There are two variations of this spell that provide different effects. The primary effect is permanent, unless removed by a simple solution of water and vinegar, or a form of Dispel magic. The second effect, chosen by the Caster while casting the spell, deals Color Damage. This effect disappears at the end of the spell's duration. The Caster chooses to focus on the spell (FOCUS DC:15) or chooses another action during any round the spell is active.
Effect
The Caster's finger radiates an inky color, which they then apply onto the Subject or Object. Subjects may be willing or unwilling, depending upon the way this spell is cast. An application of the Finger Paint spell using it's primary method is 1 Full Action per Round. It takes 1 Full Action to apply a layer of the spell (used for minor cosmetics), while it takes 2 Full Actions to completely apply the spell to a Subject or Object (used for completely coating the target). An unwilling subject receiving a Finger Paint spell can make Agility or Grace Proficiency checks if they are unbound (DC:10+Caster's Psyche Modifier). The Caster can apply either primary or secondary effect while the spell is active (1 Round per Caster's Psyche).
The Finger Paint spell allows a Caster to change the color of a Subject. The Caster determines what properties changes, such as hair, eyes, skin or clothing. If the Subject is a willing recepient of the Spell, a Pact is made between the Caster and the Subject to permanently alter the face or skin. If the Subject is unwilling, then they receive a Grace Proficiency save against the Finger Paint spell (DC:10+ Caster's Psyche).
When it comes to unattended objects or those owned by the Caster or a willing recepient, the Object's colors are altered permanently. This doesn't change the properties of an item, such as the material it is made from. This effect can be used to write on Objects, creating notes or memos (though it isn't quite effective as a writing tool).
To wash off a coating of permanent Finger Paint, the Subject must apply water and vinegar to the affected areas. Special eye drops are used to clear Finger Paint from the eyes. This spell is used in a large number of cosmetic magical items.
Side/Secondary Effects
Finger Paint can be used to attack the Subject using one of the color spectrum energy types. This spell is then considered a "Color Magic" spell and gains the elemental descriptor chosen, for the purposes of spells and Talents that consider those effects. The Caster shoots a bolt of colorful energy at the Subject that deals elemental color damage.
It deals 1d4 damage. Red/ Fire, Blue/ Cold, Green/ Acid, Orange/ Earth, Yellow/ Lightning, Indigo: Air. Color spells aren't actual elements but are considered elemental in nature.
Casters must make a ranged touch attack; if successful, Subjects receives a Grace Proficiency check against the damage (DC:10+Caster's Psyche). This spell isn't permanent like the primary effect. Instead, its effect dissolves by the end of the spell duration (1 round per Caster's Psyche).
Manifestation
"The Caster waggles a finger until a bead sticky, viscous light seems to radiate myriad colors between the Caster's fingertips. A drop of the colorful light is launched like a bullet at a blank vase. Once the color spreads and the Caster completes the spell by clutching their fist, the once featureless vase now appears as a calm cerulean blue."
