Ice Core
... captured in a plane of ice, the shining light reveals the frozen memories within!
When these mysterious pieces of "Ice" were discovered, it wasn't entirely known what their purposes were for. They started appearing as the world was growing older, warming; some were found adrift at sea or buried within layers of ice and snow. As pieces of the enchanted material "Ice", those who found them broke Ice Cores down into their base material components, unaware of their intended uses. The mystery of the Ice Cores would be revealed by the Mythos Folk. By looking inside the core, one can faintly trace Pink Ice of ancient Mythos Folk glyphs contained within.
Using a combination of enchantments from Auramancy & Restomancy, these magical devices catalogue memories, recalled through arcane activation methods. By touching the smooth, cold surface of an "empty" Ice Core and projecting one's thoughts upon it, the "Ice" will preserve those memories. Reviewing memories through Ice Cores requires the user to gently blow upon the surface of the ice, where the glyph is located.
This creates a brilliant projection that appears in light bands in the air or on a surface, revealing the different memories with multiple glyphs within. The Myst Folk used these as arcane libraries of their stories and myths, later becoming the collective "Folk Lore". Along with etched tablets and carved stone, Myth Folk used these to communicate messages and to promote learning amongst their people.
Though many Ice Cores were lost to Time and ruin, many have survived, pieced together by Mythologians of the Mythos Society. Most recently, the full collection of the "Mist-Bound Oar" was recovered.

Measurements
"Units" are measurements, defined by length, width, and weight. A whole Unit is denoted with an "Un" and represents 1 whole measured "Unit" (equivalent to the average length of a forearm). A "Micro-Unit" is denoted with a "Um" in measurements and is the size of an index finger bone. 10 Micro-Units make 1 Un. To measure weight, Unit Burden is calculated relative to the weight of an adult fist. Total Units are measured using decimals.

Author's Notes
I can't tell... is this a "Stub" or an Article? LOL!
My attempt was to write my first Stub, but I might've failed upright and wrote an Article. Nah, I intend to bring more into this; including the TTRPG elements, and more exclusive info, as I expand the "Ice Age".
I got the idea from geological "Ice Cores" and a concept I saw in an anime using crystals. Light refractions and holograms are neat, so I thought it'd be cool if the Mythos Folk enchanted their memories into Ice! : D
Would certainly make a neat Mythological find! What memories would you like to keep forever? : D
