Rock Drop

"Spirits of Air, scatter and disperse! Spirits of Earth, gather and crush! From the sky to the earth! Rock Drop!"| a casting of Rock Drop

The Caster calls upon the Source of Earth to turn an orb of air into a solid stone that falls on it's Subject.

Effect

This spell turns a small amount of air into a stone. My drawing upon the dust and earth found within, the particles form into one large stone. This spell is cast in the air, above a Subject. If the stone falls and hits its target (roll a normal attack, using Agility to modify), then the stone deals 1d4+Psyche Modifier crushing damage.

At higher levels, the vertical limit for this spell increases, changing the velocity and damage of the dropped stone.

Once the stone falls, whether the attack is successful or not, the stone dissipates into dust by the end of this spell. Subjects that don't notice the Caster or the stone are considered Defenseless for the attack roll.

Side/Secondary Effects

Alternatively, the Caster can cast this spell above themselves in order to catch the rock. The Caster can then choose to throw the stone (treat as proficient), dealing the same amount of damage as in the prior description, but add Power instead of Psyche when determining the results of the damage.

Manifestation

Dust motes and particles seem to form a dusty cloud about the Caster's hands as they point to the earth and direct the energy upwards, coalescing into a hard stone suspended in air.
