The Crown of the High King is an enchanted gold crown adorned with Twenty Flawless White Diamonds, Fifteen of each Ruby, Sapphire, Emeralds, and Black opals. The design on the crown itself depicts the rebuilding of the once war-torn Refuge under the guidance of the first sorcerer king. Finally the enchantment on this crown was created by the first sorcerer king of Refuge as a way of passing along knowledge and history to his next worthy successor. When a king dies while wearing the crown a portion of their knowledge is stripped from them and added to the crown so the king can enter the afterlife unburdened.
Though crown has passed though at least 20 wearers over the years no one except for the current king suspects the enchanted nature of the crown.

Interesting facts:

• The crown was at one point stolen, The thief that attempted to wear it was later found dead in front of the castle gates, rivers of blood running from his eyes and ears with the crown laying next to him. To this day it is one of the greatest mysteries of the crown.
