Session 1: The Beginning

General Summary

After Drow Nydyr Keltar finished watching a play at the Archenny Theatre in Fevesto, he was nearly pickpocketed by a Tiefling named Ekxus Tomomim, and her associate, Frar Skulddottir, a small and suspicious dwarf recently fired from The Atlantis Vaults. Through some clever persuasion and deception, the Tiefling and the Dwarf struck up an unlikely companionship with the Nydyr. The three individuals were drawn in to a performance by a bard singing an ancient song about a golden city. This city intrigued the three, who asked the bard as to the validity of his song. He gave them some vague information, though it seemed as though the city was simply a myth.
Deciding to discover more about the fabled city, the three made their way to The Crystal Library, which sits in the middle of Fevesto. The structure is made completely of glass and owned by a mysterious figure named Kallodark, who was rarely seen. Upon entering, the gang met two librarians; a stern halfling named Noric Arennas, and a kindly but senile elf, Phyllis. Frar was permitted to enter the forbidden magic section of the library, though the others were not, due to their lack of magical ability. Magic is shunned in Arcadia, but Kallodark's rulings are particularly generous, having been given royal permission to keep magical records.
Ekxus attempted to find some picture books, due to her illiteracy, and Nydyr attempted to sneak into the forbidden section, to no avail.
