Sorcerer

Sorcerers are mages that specialize in the use of various forms of sorcery, either specific to their species, or powers that are unique to the individual themselves. With their ability to tap into innate magical forces, their abilities are generally referred to as powers rather than the formulaic spells of other arcane mages.

Sorcerers are generally noted by specializing in the use of their innate magic for various applications in combat or utility. All sorcerers are adept at generating blasts, rays, and shockwaves of raw magic to a level beyond what most civilizans are capable of, even other types of mage.

Other Benefits

Sorcerers are able to use offensive magic (or offense as a defense) relatively quickly as they don't need spells or rituals that require preparation and activation.

Demographics

Sorcerers come in a variety depending upon what kind of sorcery they utilize. Races with active sorcery that can be applied to a variety of situations lend themselves to becoming sorcerers, especially is they would rather avoid spellcraft study.
Human sorcerers excel in using mana sorcery inherent to the creature type. Less commonly, sorcerers of other races with significant human ancestry can find they have an affinity to mana sorcery. Mana sorcerers generally use manaplasm constructs for a variety of offensive, defensive and supportive roles.
Fairies can use fairy dust to induce hallucinations, stun, force sleep or levitate objects and others covered in it. Harpy sorcerers have enchanted songs which can be used to influence others. Alraune sorcerers while uncommon, can manipulate plant toxins and influence other flora innately.   
Jiuweihu and Tanuki make excellent sorcerers as they can extend their shapeshifting to other living creatures and even into objects. Drakains also have easier transition to sorcery as they can use their elemental breath as offensive weapons.
Elementals and Yukionna sorcerers can use their native element with no real restrictions and to their fullest extent. Succubi sorceresses primarily influence others and Jinni sorcerers have a plethora of uncanny physical abilities like strength and speed to assist them.

Depending on their race, a sorcerer can be more limited than another type of mage of the same race. Often this can be sorcerers of races with less active sorcery that a sorcerer can make use of such as lamia, merfolk, okurinu as an example.
