Adamantite
Properties
Material Characteristics
The raw ore of adamantite is a blood-red colour that shines in the light. Refined pure adamantite retains this blood-red colour and reflects light even better with the sheen of red visible in light being even more prominent than the colour of the metal itself.
Compounds
Used as the primary ingredient for the alloy Adamantium
Geology & Geography
Adamantite can only be found far below ground near magma channels or pools and other sources of magma. Due to the depth that you have to reach to mine adamantite, it's never mined by humans and rarely even by dwarves since they tend to altogether avoid areas that contain magma. The drow, however, are known to delve to those depths and as such often use equipment of Adamantium and are known to use pure Adamantite for jewellery and other aesthetic details.
