Mechanics & Inner Workings

The Broomhandle features a short barrel connected to a hammer and recoil mechanism. Meaning that the blast from black powder within each bullet pushes another round from the magazine into the chamber. Allowing the trigger to be squeezed over and over for swift phased almost automatic firing, without the requirement to revolve the weapon. This allows the pistol to be equiped with anything from seven to fourteen round large magazines, which are shaped like boxes. Hence, why it's called a broomhandle.

History

The Broomhandle pistol, or sweeper as it's sometimes comedically called, is a new invention that was first built just two years ago. Created by the Dyskhari House of Spiders to be used by their Kommizar, the gun is an intricate and stylish semi-automatic pistol which involves the newest technology of using the recoil and hammer to load a new bullet into the chamber after each blast.
This increased ammunitions capacity has made the broomhandle a solid choice of weapon among anyone who wishes to defend themselves, as it's both easy to fire with low recoil, high stopping power and light to use. The complications of using the parts currently makes these guns hard to mass produce though, which has left them in a more uncommon price range, making it hard for just anyone to get their hands on. It's also been increased in price by society as a whole, as it's efficency leaves the weapon a serious threat in the hands of assassins and criminals.

Significance

This pistol is often used by the Dyskhari Kommizars in service as they are easy to hide and pull from the holster. It's slim yet long barrel also allows for great accuracy at medium ranges, while thinning out the soundwave blast. This makes it viable to use within civilized areas to take out spies, assassins or other more lowly scum with, without destroying the civilians eardrums.
