Personal history
Early Life
Hannibal Teeblatt hails from a family deeply rooted in the druidic traditions of their ancestors, dwelling within a secluded village of intricately constructed treehouses. The Teeblatt household, known for their profound bond with nature, maintained a lush vegetable garden and revered music as an elemental aspect of life. Every member of the family was proficient in an instrument, with Hannibal mastering the bagpipes even as a child.
The Abduction
Tragedy struck when Hannibal, barely six years old, was abducted by a nefarious traveling circus while playing in the forest with his friends. The circus director, a sinister figure skilled in dark magic, launched a surprise attack. Hannibal’s parents intervened desperately but were overwhelmed by the dark powers arrayed against them. In the ensuing chaos, Hannibal’s mother was slain, and his father, grievously heartbroken, was forced to retreat under the threat of death. He vowed to rescue his son from the clutches of the circus, a promise that haunted the young Hannibal.
The Circus
Subjugated by the circus, Hannibal and his childhood friends endured years of grueling labor. They hauled water, chopped wood, and erected tents. As Hannibal grew older, he was also tasked with cooking for the troupe. Despite their circumstances, the children discovered they possessed innate druidic magic. Secretly, they honed their abilities, learning to manipulate nature's forces, a skill that did not go unnoticed by the circus director. He exploited their powers for performances that delighted audiences and filled the circus’s coffers, all while enforcing obedience through fear and torment.
Dreams of escape were constant among Hannibal and his friends, but the watchful eyes of the circus director and his henchmen thwarted every attempt, often with brutal consequences. However, witnessing the merciless torture and death of his friends at the hands of the circus director crystallized Hannibal's resolve to escape or die trying.
One fateful night, seizing a moment of chaos during a bustling performance, Hannibal and his co-conspirators ignited a fire as a diversion and used homemade smoke bombs to cloud their actions. Amidst the confusion, they fought their captors with improvised weapons, aided by bursts of their nature magic. When the circus director intervened with his dark magic, overpowering the rebels, Hannibal’s friends implored him to seize the moment and flee, sacrificing their chance of escape to distract the director. With a heavy heart, Hannibal fled into the night.
A new Road
Free from the circus but burdened with the weight of his unresolved past, Hannibal vowed to seek vengeance for his fallen friends and his mother. Driven by the need to understand his origins and the full extent of his magical abilities, Hannibal embarked on a quest to discover his ancestral Druid Circle, find his estranged father, and locate his mother’s grave. His journey is one of redemption, mastery of his innate powers, and ultimately, retribution against the darkness that had shadowed his early life.
Morality & Philosophy
At his core, Hannibal is a beacon of kindness and amiability, always striving to act with gentleness and compassion towards others. This innate warmth is a testament to the nurturing environment of his family before his abduction, highlighting his deep-seated connection to the values of his druidic heritage.
Despite the darkness he faced during his captivity in the traveling circus, Hannibal's nature remained uncorrupted. His friendliness is most apparent when he is in the company of those he trusts, where he opens up with a heartfelt enthusiasm, sharing his dreams and delights freely. His curiosity about the world around him and its myriad mysteries drives him to explore and understand the nature of his magic and the deeper lore of the land.
However, Hannibal's interpersonal dealings are marked by a noticeable shyness and introversion when he encounters strangers or finds himself in unfamiliar settings. This reticence is a scar left by the years of abuse and manipulation at the hands of the circus director, instilling in him a cautious approach to new interactions. His trust is hard-won, requiring time and genuine intent from others to penetrate the barriers built from his past traumas.
Despite these barriers, once someone has earned Hannibal's trust, he reveals a deeply loyal and protective side. He values the safety and well-being of his friends above all else, and he is fiercely committed to those he considers his chosen family. His moral compass, though tested, points unwaveringly towards doing good, influenced by his druidic roots and the loving memory of his parents.

His three best friends were Verna, Lindal and Eldon, who had to stay behind, when Hannibal managed to escape from the circus. He does not know what happened to them, but since some of them were already babdly injured by the circus director's dark magic, Hannibal fears that they might not have made it.
