Jaxi Delmirev

Jaxi Delmirev is a half elf arcanist that is friend and confidant of Droxl and whom has accompanied him through the Journey to Archebridge to help in clearing Orusol's Tower for the adventurer's guild.
Jaxi was the youngest son in a prominent and wealthy family of half elves in New Sharandar which exists around a portal to the Feywild on the Sword Coast. Though not nobility, his family was important enough that at the age of 12 he was valuable as a hostage to keep rogue elements of the Winter Court serving Neifion, the Lord of Bats, from raiding New Sharandar's farms and trade caravans; so Jaxi along with other children of the richest and noblest families of New Sharandar were sent to Darroch castle for a period of 10 years. Jaxi became the 'ward' of a sadistic Eladrin noble named Fyladon Brokenbranch who delighted in tormenting the young half elf through psychological means, but dared not cause physical harm to him and violate the terms of Neifion's accord.
Jaxi doesn't say much else about his time as a hostage in Darroch Castle other than he met Droxl there and that Droxl helped him to escape from the Feywild and back to the Sword Coast. The two of them then traveled eastward toward Cormyr where they believed they would be safer.

While studying magic in New Sharandar, and later in Darroch Castle, Jaxi learned he was a poor spellcaster and was much better at the academic side of wizardry. He will likely never become a truly powerful wizard capable of wielding the greatest spells, but he is more than happy to focus on research into history and arcane theories.

Jaxi and Droxl share a nearly codependent bond of friendship. He associates with the rest of the adventurer's guild and helps in whatever manner his spells and skills in research and arcana can assist them.
