Session 4: You call that an arm? THIS, is an arm
General Summary
"It's rude to come along uninvited and unannounced..." whispered an old, raspy voice. It was too quiet to have been coming from the tent, but no other source of the voice could be found.
The party decided to encircle the nearby tent, with R'kir, Roland, and Wiliman going in from the left and the rest from the right. In a strange courtyard of sorts could be seen several stone statues: a deer, some children, a town guardsman and an archer or hunter. Even in the dark, their incredible lifelikeness was apparent...these weren't statues, but petrified victims of some dreadful creature.
In a flash, the party was set upon by a the hags. What ensued was a brawling melee.
Pitri killed the green hag... via thunder wave and found it's arcane core in the woods.
Aliñar (in her octopus form) killed the medusa and bit her in half...arcane core probably eaten.
Krusk kills the night hag, searing her head with holy flame.
Pitri ate the arcane core of the green hag. Ali ate the arcane cores of the other two.
Pitri opened the bag of the green hag, and a black mist pours out. An elf woman with blood red eyes appeared. She looks around and demands to know what's going on.
Vamp: "You freed me"
Pitri: "Yup," he said gesturing around at the remains of the green hag
Vamp, I suppose I can tell you what happened. They are are a coven of hags and I am just one person. I plan to go home and get the people who gave me to them.
Pitri: Where are you going, so I know not to find those people?
Vamp: Have you heard of the kingdom of Qishan?
Pitri: I've heard of it, but never been
Vamp: Then you have heard of my home.
Pitri: You're not going to try and harm us right?
Vamp, looks over at the party milling about and says, "I have no reason to this day."
Pitri, can I ask you name?
"Bellanna" she replies
"Good bye," says Pitri sticking his hand out for a handshake.
"Farewell," she said, begrudgingly shaking his hand, before swarming into a flock of bats and flying away.
Krusk searched the night hag corpse, and demanded that they not open the soul bag, fearful it would summon a demon. He also hung on to her heartstone, knowing that these heartstones can cure disease.
The party finds several other items near the camp:
-A potion of invisibility
-Wand of Magic Missile
-Wand of Thunderbolts
-Boots of Elvenkind
-Moonmoth Vest
-Replacement Man
-An Oak Levitating Stick (Juju Stick)
In investigating the tent, they find a half-elf girl named Lily, shoved inside a barrel. Krusk hoists her out of the barrel and in a booming voice said, "Feat not! It is alright now!"
Tearing up, she was consoled by a cloying Pitri and Wiliman...they assured her everything was safe. Soon the town guards led by Angelo, the guards captain, and the guard that was previously petrified. The party spends the night at the Rum Drum. The tabaxi innkeeper tells them that Angelo, the captain's guard is awaiting them downstairs.
As they descend the staircase, the smell of strong coffee, fresh bread, and the remains of a good breakfast waft through the air.
Angelo says, "I'm very impressed, the town has authorized me to reimburse you for returning the children to us and destroying those filthy hags." He tells them that a local tinkerer, Jack Featherbottom, is willing to make a prosthetic arm for Leif and possible eye for Aliñar.
Pitri described the dwarf ranger male mountain dwarf ranger. He has a bald head, save for a white mohawk, and red eyes.
He has soft, ghostly, white skin. He stands 122cm (4'0") tall and has a massive build. He is albino and wielded a massive shortbow, that fired nearly javelin sized arrows. Angelo related his name is Mulgrew, a well known smuggler, and that his ship "The Waverider" is at berth in the southern bay of the island. Krusk asks if he could give them passage to the southernmost island of Kol'Mora. Angelo related that the Kol'Mora sea elves had been giving lots of trouble to merchants and visitors, Angelo surmises that they are experiencing famine.
Krusk and Wiliman related that they are trying to seal immortal card people who have been locked in a 1000 year power struggle into a deck of tarot cards.
Angelo suggests that the party reach out to his father named, Damahl, and to be very polite. He also asked them not to use his name, he is living in exile.
The party (minus Alinar) goes to see Jack Featherbottom, who wastes no time in attaching a prosthetic, mechanical arm to Leif.
