Astral shrimp

The astral shrimp is a species of arthropod found in Subterranea that uses its specialized mouth to create an extradimensional vortex to inhale food. When two astral shrimp mate, their kiss creates a rift to the astral plane (similar to two bags of holding) and they lay their eggs there. Hatched larva transport themselves to other planes of existence by accident while learning to control their mouth vortex.
