I trust Auyawa’s leadership and judgement, but I still think it’s reasonable to hedge more. They seem pretty certain that our only hope of a future is the Capsule. Personally, I want to see the stars again- the idea that we might never again reach the surface saddens me immensely.
…So I’m going to prepare, just in case we once again find ourselves walking on green grass, among mountains and an open sky, where rain falls and the wind blows (naturally, not like that one trap in the Labyrinth). When we return to the surface, we will need to rebuild all the homes and cities destroyed by demons and the Ghaztiwoilian empire. I’m prototyping a device that can automatically unfold as a building! I think it’s possible, with some dimensional magic, to compress a moderate-sized structure within a movable box. The project has so far resisted me, likely due to the finnicky nature of extradimensional travel, but I will keep on trying!
