Laenric Forest

Laenric Forest is the large forest west of Lake Abosa in the Bazen Lowlands. It is populated and defended by several villages who declared independence from the Bazen Kingdom, primarily populated by elves. This makes it the only part of the Lowlands region that is not ruled over by the Bazen monarchy. The forest's villages place great value on their freedom, and are suspicious of any outsiders who might pose a risk to their lifestyle.

The forest is named for Laenric Yewbranch, the elven man who led his people to freedom during the Southern War. The people of Laenric Forest speak his name with respect when they tell stories of his courage, charisma, and wisdom.
