Tristis

Tristis, also known as the Amnesia Fields or the Meadows of Woe, is a region of the Inferno consisting of a strange distorted fields with red grass that spreads to the misty horizon. Its fields are as endless as its melancholy, and visitors find themselves easily getting lost in the inconsistent landscape as their minds are gradually weakened by the pervasive apathy, sorrow, and regret. Those who linger too long lose their minds and personalities forever.
Tristis used to be a place where devils would entertain potential clients within ruins of ornate gardens and grand stone halls. Long ago, however, demons invaded and demolished most of the meadows' structures, leaving behind scattered ruins. Some devils still use the fields as a ground to bargain with mortals, although their tactics now employ its mind-erasing effects rather than the grandeur of its buildings.
The River Styx flows primarily through Tristis, though it touches many of the other Infernal regions as well.
