We found the “center” of the Labyrinth. On one hand, it is incredible: a massive underground city of stone, a whole civilization in one cavernous atrium, illuminated by a colossal lantern bearing strong resemblance to the Sun and Moon at different times. On the other hand, it is tragic: broken barricades yielded to vicious fiends that slaughtered the citadel’s denizens, eliminating countless lives and years of history. If I could have one wish, it would be the ability to travel through time as an observer. I lament that the questions I would posit to the builders of this enormous maze will remain imprisoned in my head, rather than free.
I am at least grateful for the chance that the mazefolk have given us. We have time to enhance their creation. While others clean and organize the citadel, I have been tasked with adding traps and illusions to the Labyrinth. Demons are vicious, while devils are clever, so I think the best way to keep them out is to combine the two. I have assembled just such a challenge behind the invisible wall a ways back from this location.
