Geography
The aptly-named Windvast Desert single-handedly functions as the northern border of the known world. This endless, featureless ocean of sand sprawls endlessly northward. The heat, lack of any resources, and occasional sandstorm make it thoroughly inhospitable.
Expeditions have ventured out into the desert in the hopes of finding treasure, ancient artifacts, or new lands. Most that returned came back exhausted and emptyhanded. One such expedition, however, reported the discovery of an ancient ruined city buried among the dunes. Caravans now escort archaeologists, historians, and other curious visitors to the ancient site for a price.
Demographics
The desert is not populated, save for Vashir's Camp, a tented city named for the leader of the first victorious expedition. Its population varies widely, as it consists entirely of curious travelers passing through to see the excavation site.
