The Seven
The Seven are Archia's major gods, worshiped in Isseria, Anabe, Crescen, and (to a lesser extent) Escher and Vibria. The suffixes -rem, -ani, and -ev are honorifics and it is considered highly irreverent to speak the gods' names without them, but it isn't unusual for them to be omitted in written texts after the first instance.
Ostia'ani, The First
Alignment: Neutral Good Divine Domains: Knowledge, Arcana, Twilight The goddess of dreams and mysteries, Ostia is greatly revered by all, particularly those in Crescen. She is known as a kind and motherly goddess, neutral and fair, and happy to reward those earnestly searching for knowledge with whispers of the secrets they seek.Kolif'rem, The Second
Alignment: Lawful Evil Divine Domains: Light, Order, Forge Estranged husband of Ostia and god of order and progress, Kolif is worshiped by the Church of Kolif'rem as Escher's sole patron god. Outside of Escher, he is considered as one of the Seven. Kolif is a harsh god, given to making direct demands of his followers and punishing those who disobey him.Yenid'rem, The Third
Alignment: Neutral Evil Divine Domains: War, Death, Trickery Yenid is the firstborn of the Twins, the gods who rule the afterlife. Yenid is revered by warriors and death-dealers of all kinds; he organizes a glorious and eventful afterlife for those who die violent deaths. It is said that the afterlives ruled by Yenid are vibrant but relentless and exhausting.Nairi'rem, The Fourth
Alignment: Lawful Good Divine Domains: Grave, Twilight, Nature Nairi is the secondborn of the Twins, and rules the afterlives of animals and those who die peacefully, leading their souls through a sort of dreamland where there is no strife or suffering. Nairi is revered by pacifists and diplomats, and many pray to him to guide their loved ones to a peaceful afterlife. Nairi is also Ostia's lover, and the father of Fen, the moon good.Fen'rem, The Fifth
Alignment: Chaotic Good Divine Domains: Twilight, Tempest, Light The son of Ostia and Nairi, Fen is the moon personified; he is the god of the night that sailors pray to for gentle tides. It is said that until Fen was born, those lives lost at sea never found the afterlife, but instead floated in the current for all eternity; but now, Fen's light guides those souls into the dreamlands created for them by his father. The mythos surrounding Fen includes the tale of his lover, Gavriel, the sun; the two are said to chase each other across the sky, always longing to find themselves in each other's arms but each never catching up to the other.Evesk'ani, The Sixth
Alignment: True Neutral Divine Domains: Life, Grave, Peace Evesk was born of a battle between the twins, but she is estranged from most of the other Seven. She walks Archia as a mortal woman, blessing couples with children and gently guiding the dying into final rest. The mythos surrounding Evesk is used to teach children to be kind to strangers; any strange woman you meet could be the goddess in disguise, so the righteous and wise will treat every stranger they meet with respect.Fleur-Ek'ev, The Seventh
Alignment: Chaotic Neutral Divine Domains: Knowledge, Nature, Trickery Fleur-Ek is the only god that was born as a mortal; they spend their short mortal life as a bird that became a companion to Evesk. When they died, they tricked the twin gods of the afterlife into giving them a name, and having been named by two gods, they became a god themself. Fleur-Ek takes many forms, most often a swarm of butterflies or birds; they cross often between the realms of life and death, and children are often told to be careful and clever or the mischievous god may trick them into giving them their lunches or toys.
