Garoth
The Garothi people have been living in the mountains for millennia, some say they were the first of any living thing to conquer the unforgiving north. Being such hardened people they never failed to stay strong and keep their allies close. Being Garothi means to be strong not only physically but also to be strong in the ways of willpower and persistence, not admitting defeat until certain death.
Structure
Garoth is a country made up of many factions, and within those factions lie leaders and followers. While seemingly split Garothi people seem to unite over their similarities. The Chief is the leader of each faction, they are decided on a contest of physical strength; if one follower finds that they would make a better leader for the direction of their tribe they will challenge their Chief to become the new Chieftain. Usually Goliath's are the winners of these challenges, but orcs have been known to win occasionally as well. There are 16 major tribes with smaller ones scattered around the countryside. Each of the major tribes Chieftain's meet for executive decisions for the country, wars, food issues, corruption, etc. The Garothi people without tribal power are either warriors, hunters or gatherers, merchants exist but are usually in exile from all of the tribes therefore looked down upon.
Public Agenda
The goal of the Garothi is to defend what they own, although fully capable of facing their opponents on the battlefield, they prefer to stay in the land they have known for thousands of years
Assets
Although not a very rich nation, weapons that no normal man could wield lie here. 6 foot long blades, axes the size of a horses body, and shields you could use to sail across Dyrelic sea. Troops are one of their largest assets, having men anywhere from 9 feet tall to 12 feet tall, not only that but their abundance of men can make them over encumber any opposition. Although not a large navy, the Garothi people are known for being tactical and efficient sailors of the north, crafting ships that are many times the size of any normal military ship.
History
As powerful as the Garothi people are, they actually have fairly good relations with their southern borders. But across the sea lies their greatest historical rival, Aumertia. Their constant wars with this foe have been stalemate throughout history, with no defined winners of any wars.
