Miles the Brave
Nothing could stand before this brave leader, knowing well that his opponents out sized his biggest men by nearly double, did not stop his conquest across Garoth. Being only around 6 foot tall himself, a mere human would never face a Garothi warrior in open combat, yet Miles' superior strategy resulted in the capture of over a thousand Garothi soldiers. Nearly 2.500 Goliath, Orc and Dwarven soldiers charged across the open battlefield. They had been expecting a much larger group of Aumertians, but charged nonetheless, after Miles' soldiers had fought until their final breath. Suddenly a charge of another 4,000 Aumertian soldiers surrounded the berserk Garothi army, leading to some being captured, others crippled and killed. When the chaos was over it was time to return the dead to their families, and surrounded by 8 dead Goliath warriors laid Miles. From one of his surviving soldiers it was said that he told his remaining men to retreat while he rode his horse straight into the chaos. They could only take him down sending more than one man to fight him at once, which is strongly against Garothi tradition. A statue was erected in his honor at the king's courtyard, and engraved at the bottom were his last known words "Do nothing to stop what is desired, live on men"
