Sasunet

The coastal capital city of Tarzu. It is located in one of the few arable areas of Tarzu, and the climate is usually quite pleasant all year round. Being the largest city on the southern coast of the continent has led to it being a booming merchant city, where many foreign goods from unexplored lands are sold. Sadly, its prosperity does not speak for many of the other cities in the region, which suffer from constant drought and famine.

Government

Sasunet is home to the Kilikut dynasty which has led Tarzu since the nation's origins. The city is looked after by the kings and queens and acts as a central location to govern the rest of the country. The government is known for its corruption, and some say it is only a matter before the entire system collapses. A rich merchant visiting the docks and main streets of Sasunet would have difficulty noticing anything wrong. But alas, there is much more occurring beneath the surface than meets the eye.

Defences

The strongest defense of Sasunet is geography. The entire city, like most of Tarzu, is surrounded by seemingly endless desert. A foreign force could attempt a naval landing in the small bay area, but the Tarzi have created a giant chain to span it and prevent boats from passing if necessary. Once a force actually gets into the city, they would have to lay siege to the central castle, which has never fallen in its entire history.

Industry & Trade

Traders from unknown lands in the Losian Sea and beyond often stop at Sasunet; often bringing exotic goods that fetch a great price further North and West of Tarzu.

Infrastructure

The majority of the buildings in Sasunet are built of sandstone or limestone bricks, with flat roofs. In some sections, the buildings are extremely simple reed huts. The more grand structures such as the central castle and many government-owned buildings are ornate and often adorned with gold and gemstones.

Guilds and Factions

Merchant Free Trade Guild: This guild is made from the five largest merchant guilds and families in the region. They contrary to the name attempt to stamp out smaller merchants. They families that make up this guild include, Sandslip (tabaxi), Nilleth (tabaxi), Hora (tabaxi), Amun (Human), Anat (Jackle).   The whispers of The Lost Book of History: This guild is part cult and part archaeologist. They seek to uncover the turth of the land now called Tarzu and why the gods cursed it.
