Treowen

The Treowen is a disorganized, druidic faith followed commonly by the Wild Races. It is most commonly practiced through the worship of nature. Followers of Treowen do not follow a specific god, as referenced in the popular slogan "Nature is God". They believe that gods exist, however, they are merely servants of the nature that created them, making nature the ultimate most powerful force in existence.
Though no particular symbol represents the whole faith, the most common symbol used is the tree of life (or a tree encased by a circle, as seen to the right).

Structure

There is no organizational structure for the Treowen religion. The religion had few writings and is not codified or necessarily consistent throughout its followers except for a few key ideas.

Public Agenda

To protect the unspoiled wilderness of the world, in particular the Gallangar wilds and the Woods of Oneida. Followers of the Treowen faith will often band together to fight against any outside nation who threatens those places of unspoiled wilderness.

History

It is uncertain when the Treowen religion first came into existence. There are some oral myths of the faith which can be dated all the way back to around 3400, or 764 E.S.G. It is likely enough that there were people who worshipped nature in similar ways before even then, however. For that reason, it is considered one of the oldest faiths in the world.
