Woods of Oneida

The woods of Oneida are dense and untamed, stretching for hundreds of miles, all the way from the Dyrelic Sea to the Losian Ocean. However, it is not void of intelligent life. Bugbears, Firbolgs, Centaurs, and Minotaurs roam the woods alone or in small groups. The only organized nation in the region is Alfheim, where elves isolate themselves from the rest of the world.

Geography

The woods of Oneida make up a significant portion of the Eastern continent, taking up and estimated 1/4th of the land. Geographically, the land is generally hilly but some flat areas can be found. There are two major sources of water, the Pendel river which marks the border between the nation Pendel to the south, and the Darraine lake, a major body of water also to the south of the forest. Otherwise, small streams and ponds scatter the woods.

Fauna & Flora

Almost all travelers avoid the woods for a reason. The trees are extremely thick and grow close together, making movement difficult. Additionally, various hostile beasts call the place their home. Bears, dragons, and giant spiders are just a few examples of what might lead an unlucky wanderer into an early grave.

Natural Resources

The woods of Oneida are rich with many resources, from magical flora, to ores, and obviously lumber.
