General Sylyra Pure

General Pure was not really a true General, but ended up being the leader of the refugees heading for the Aswarian Empire. When they came to the Aswarian army blockade in the gap, General Pure directed people and organised healers, fighters, the elderly and the young into different areas to protect their people as best they could. General Pure waved the white flag of truce and arranged for negotiations between her and General Cross. Cross had been following the orders of King Gustav I until he'd seen that the refugees were mostly unarmed and carrying belongings. Pure and Cross entered a room for negotiations and came up with a plan. Cross suggested that if any messengers came that they were told that negotiations were ongoing. The negotiations lasted a year, by which point some of the refugees had drifted back to what is known today as Formene. Others stayed and new relationships were formed, gardens planted and buildings constructed. Some of the soldiers scouted the Ayrithian lands and reported the disappearance of many towns and the mass of sand that blocked their path.
 After a year, the King grew ill and passed away. His heir didn't care about the pass as it was believed from the few scout reports from the gap that none survived so they could conquer it at their leisure. So those who remained grew their own colony. Some came and passed through and the generals agreed to build a passageway through which all travelers would pass. They kept detailed records through the years of who, description, how many, purpose, vehicle etc. so they could track down anyone who was later reportedly up to mischief or escaping the law. 
The PureCross Waystation was named after the two generals who became friends during their year of "negotiations". They continued to oversee the day to day functioning of the Waystation until they passed and were buried together under a white cross.

Raised by priests when her parents dedicated her to Morana. She was faithful and learned well. She saw to the day to day duties of the temple but when the time came to commit herself to service fulltime, she decided to seek her way in the world elsewhere instead. She
