Roll a melee spell attack against a living creature. On a hit, the target takes 1D4 piercing damage, and it must succeed on a Constitution saving throw or be paralyzed until the start of your next turn.
If the target has been under the paralytic effect of this gambit (pulled by you or anyone else) at any point during the previous round, the target's CNS receptors are still in a refractory state, and the drug's activity is attenuated; they gain advantage on their Constitution saving throw to resist being paralyzed.
