MOF-3A17V is a metal-organic framework that seems to form spontaneously on the surface of Dritt Taaress's moon. It is exceptionally efficient at sequestering ions, even being able to pluck the most energetic of particles out of plasma clouds in interstellar space. For this reason, it usually sees use as a protective coating for starships looking to travel through dense hazardous nebulae.
