Session 6: On to Darker Pastures
General Summary
The Compliance Officers ask Vivec a few questions about himself, and a few about his visit to the nimaldegen plant. They even sneak in a question about the gas hauler, but Vivec stays the course and reminds them it wasn't him that mentioned the this. Whether due to a lapse in judgment or simply a good mood, the talkative officer takes this queue to back off from this line of questions and wrap up the interview fairly smoothly, paying Vivec a nice 35cr for his time.
While this is going on, the party fields some questions of their own from another approaching pair of officers. During the exchange, Bailey attempts to lower their guard, but they aren't affected. Dee, however, carefully observing Bailey's technique, reproduces the effect successfully and is able to relieve one of the officers of the keys to their bike.

Krest has a request. Impressed with how the party responded to the crisis, he is interested in enlisting their assistance: in the long term, he wants to establish an organization called the Heliodor League, a competitor to the Unison Network and one that won't simply flee from its clutches (like Eigenvector) or revolve around tearing it down (like Nullspace).
And in the short term, their membership might start with a mission: Krest mentions the "apocalypse microbe," R. grendel, which they recognize. He says he suspects Network Council's involvement in its sudden appearance around the galaxy
