Kingdom of Medheva

The Kingdom of Medheva is a feudal realm in the west of Ard Tala. It is bounded on the south by the Eordsunder Sea, and on the west, north, and east by several minor mountain ranges, with a short interruption at the Drowning Deep in the northeast of the kingdom.

The kingdom was founded in 481 C.R. (5597 A.T.) out of a unification of four lesser principalities that had fought over the region for centuries. These were the Kingdoms of Triarch and Rostaven, the Woodland States of the Moonvale, and the Stormmark. On the feast day of Yule in 481, the four rulers of these realms came together in Triarch to crown Ostveig II of House Aramund, son of Triarch's then-ruler, the King of Medheva.

Medheva's current rulers belong to the dynasty of House Vystadt, whose ancestors once ruled Rostaven. Their current scion, King Rufus IV, has struggled to maintain power over his kingdom and his vassals after the embarrassing loss of his capital in Triarch after the military insurrection of its powerful Guild Union.
