Isla de Horne
Home to many of the Tiefling on Arda, Isla de Horne is a place of non-judgement, acceptance, and peace for many of the outcased and othered Tiefling who were living in the drudges of prodominately human-run cities and towns. A brown-skinned, golden-eyed, 5'5", curled-horned Tiefling named Perai speaks for the assembled of her kind on Isla de Horne. Though still self reliant and suspicious, many of the Tielfings that have made a home and a living for themselves here have roots and friendships that run loyal and deep. Perai knows she'd have herself an army the moment she asked her kin for one.
Isla de Horne was once known as Carpenter's rock, named after Louis Carpenter, the human who once claimed it, but after The Lamis plague took out 1/2 of the human population, Carpenter's rock was abandoned and just ripe for the taking. It was at this time that a baby Peari sailed to neighboring Lone Hammer Mountain, in the arms of her mother, in the cargo hold of a ship of Dwarves. She spent the next 6 years raised on the beaches of Tutti, a little known island between Carpenter's rock and Lone Hammer Mountain. She would look over at the rising twin peaks and yearn for a place she did not have to hide.
After establishing herself formiddably on Carpenter's rock 15 years later, she renamed it Isla de Horne and the word spread that a home for Tiefling's had been established and they flocked to her reclaimed village at the base of mountains.
Isla de Horne has only been threatened once, by a band of Ork's looking for a thrill, but the Tiefling's did not flee, and just before a fight became imminent a ship full of paladins and clerics armed to the teeth arrived on their shores, having heard of the trouble headed their way. Before it came to blows, the (now greatly outnumbered) Orks left. Nods of understanding were exchanged with the small band of adrenaline-filled Tieflings before the ship let down its sails. In the days to follow, Tieflings from all over Arda landed on the shores of Isla de Horne to find sanctuary and family.
