Sangromancer
Blood is power
In the lands of Cathay, the mighty elves have long sought to unlock the magical powers kept in blood. By relentless study and many sacrifices, wizards slowly learned the secrets hidden in the lifeforce contained in many creatures. These often cruel and malicious mages are known as sangromancers, and use the blood of foe and friend alike to empower their spells and create powerful undead. They are most common in Cathay, where this dark art is practiced, but their secret and powerful magic is coveted by necromancers the world over, and some have brought the practice to other lands.

Blood Magic
A sangromancer is able to unlock the magical potential of the lifeforce contained in blood. The sangromancer is able to use the blood vessel in one of two ways:
- Empower Necromancy - By using the distilled lifeforce of a blood vessel, you can empower the next necromancy spell you cast, adding +1 to the Difficulty Class for the saving throws from that spell, or adding +1 to the caster level of the spell.
- Blood Focus - By using a blood vessel from a creature, you can cause your next spell to resonate more powerfully with creatures of the same type. The next spell you cast that targets creatures of the same subgroup has +1 to the Difficulty Class for the saving throws from that spell, or gains +1 to the caster level of the spell. If the blood vessel contains the blood of a creature who would be affected by that spell, this bonus is increased to +2 instead.
This ability replaces arcane bond.
Blood Calls to Blood
At 10th level, a sangromancer may use up to two vessels of blood when using the blood magic ability.
This replaces the bonus feat gained at 10th level.
Sanguine Summons
At 15th level, when a sangromancer creates undead with the blood magic ability, they can use the blood vessel to further alter them or empower them. This can be done one of two ways:
- Grisly Polymorph - When creating humanoid undead (such as skeletons or zombies), you can have the created undead take on the physical appearance of a humanoid creature whose blood is contained in the blood vessel. The created undead take on the appearance of the creature, including any wounds that were present on the creature at the time the blood was collected.
- Mutating Infusion - When creating undead, you may have the created undead mutate into a form similar to creature whose blood is used for this ability, allowing the created undead to move and sense as those creatures could. For example, if blood from a bulette is used for this ability, the created undead would gain a burrow speed of 20ft, tremorsense of 60ft, and the scent ability, or so on.
This replaces the bonus feat gained at 15th level.
