This is the article hub for the alternate player options and character creation for the Arda campaign setting.
The primary listing of new archetype, class, and regional ancestries can be found here: Alternate Player Options.
Never underestimate the power of planning!
When creating a new character for the campaign, I suggest looking over the helpful guideline available on the Pathfinder SRD. The link for character outlines is https://www.d20pfsrd.com/basics-ability-scores/character-creation.
The world of Arda is home to numerous unique and diverse languages which have developed over centuries and millennia as peoples and cultures have traveled and interacted throughout their histories. As such, many generic fantasy languages (such as Common or Orcish) are divided into regional tongues and dialects which represent the evolution, change and localization of these languages over space and time. New characters should select regional languages that fit their character's backstories and experiences. For example, a character from Romanorum will likely select Romanoran Common, while a character from nearby Al-Andalus will likely select Andalusian Elvish, regardless of the character's ancestry. The regional languages can be found on the Language in the Dragon's Domain page.
I aim to make your characters feel fun and impactful, so we have taken the liberty of using some powerful options. For the purposes of this campaign, if a new character is needed to be built, we have previously used the "Epic Fantasy" point-buy system to build our characters. For health, it is always the maximum amount (I.E., a wizard who would get 1d6+con health per level will always get 6+con, etc.). For a character starting at 10th level or less, they will have the starting wealth as described on the character creation outline. For characters greater than 10th level, they will get their level-1 in starting wealth (I.E., a 15th level character joining the campaign will have the wealth of a 14th level character.) This is intended to address potential inconsistencies with treasure.
